That is very helpful.

But I still feel haunted, alone, and trapped by a past that I have no control over. I see no escape, no light at the end of the tunnel, so I keep running, to it? away from it? I don't know. But I keep running and eventually that light will reveal itself to be a train and it'll hit me.
